2022 California Existing Building Code (Title 24 Part 10)(Includes Parts 8 & 12) is an integrated, California-specific building code based on the 2021 International Existing Building Code. It covers repair, alterations, additions and change of occupancy for existing buildings and historical buildings, while achieving appropriate levels of safety. Also includes:
- Title 24 Part 8-California Historical Building Code (CHBC) provides for the preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, relocation or reconstruction of buildings or structures designated as qualified historical buildings or properties. The CHBC contains alternative solutions for the preservation of qualified historical buildings or properties, to provide access for persons with disabilities, to provide a cost-effective approach to preservation, and to provide for the reasonable safety of the occupants or users.
- Title 24, Part 12-California Referenced Standards Code (CRSC) contains minimum test and referenced standards required by the California Building Standards Code.
